Zappos is now expanding their adaptive line to include customized shoe buying, allowing purchases of just one shoe or a combination of sizes! For now, it is just a pilot program, but what a difference this could make for so many families!  You can now buy a single shoe or build a pair using different sizes from some of your favorite brands.

Why is Zappos looking to do this?

Over the years Zappos has had many requests from customers about selling single shoes, or shoes of different sizes – this program stems from these requests. For all of those customers who have called us, emailed us, replied to us on social media, or completed our research survey – THANK YOU! Our goal is to create a solution for this. Their customers’ input, feedback and stories are very important to Zappos.  They had tremendous response to our survey in 2019 and received a lot of emails from customers interested in the test throughout the year. They are using what we have learned to help shape the shopping experience for our Single & Different Size Shoes Test.

Nike FlyEase or the Billy shoes are great for kids with AFO’s or other orthotics.  Nike FlyEase with the zipper wraps around the back for ease of donning and doffing.
